What is the truth? What makes people tick?
To answer this question for myself, I decided to study Journalism at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. I wanted to learn how to “get the facts.” Unfortunately, I found out that “the facts” were manipulated to suit the powers that be and had nothing to do with the truth. Perhaps by studying the human body I would find the answer?

So I left U.W.O. and began training as a nurse.
Three years later I graduated as a Registered Nurse and could now provide myself with a livelihood. But the answer to my question still eluded me. Perhaps a deeper inquiry would help me, so I continued with my studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing Education, and later was delighted to receive a research grant from the Canadian Government. I became the first Psychiatric Nurse Research Consultant in Canada and delved into what causes behavior problems in children.

Twelve months later I was on my way to England to try another approach to my question. After completing a one-year post-graduate degree at the National Hospital, Queens Square, London, in Neurology and Neurosurgery, I had examined all the intricacies of the human nervous system. Yet even neurology had not explained what really makes people tick and why!

Back in America, I became involved with teaching a five-year program in Management Training to the administrative staff of a hospital. Perhaps if I kept rising to the pinnacle of the corporate ladder, to the power peak, I would find the solution.

In this corporate world, however, I was only exposed to what some CEOs really do. Their corrupt world of drugs, sex, and gambling was shocking! Disgusted, I went back to teaching nurses.
John F. Kennedy University, in Orinda, California, offered a Master of Arts Degree in Holistic Health Education, with Movement Psychology as a minor. I decided to “go for it” and learn about alternative medicine and parapsychology.

With an MA under my wing, I felt free to fly in a new direction.
I had learned that “It” was not in the body and not of a human dimension; that there really was something greater than the physical plane of man’s existence in time and space. Once I had opened my mind to that possibility, the answer was quickly given. It was given by the words of Jesus Christ in a channeled book called A Course in Miracles:

Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.

I wrote the experience of my transformation by including in this story the main characters that I met during my life’s search for the truth. These spiritual warriors reminded me that I am the light of the world. Each time fear arose in my awareness, I was invited by Holy Spirit to choose again – to wake up. In my narrative I attempt to show you that by choosing forgiveness and love instead of grievance and fear, one can remove all barriers to seeing the face of God.
